We select teachers who inspire

At our workshops, we bring in teachers who inspire not just with their experience, but with their love of social dancing. They’re right there on the floor with you, sharing ideas, enjoying the music, and making the weekend feel relaxed and welcoming.

Jenny Thomas (BBC Strictly Come Dancing)

Jenny Thomas is known to many from Strictly, but in the dance world she is loved for her deep knowledge of classic jazz styles and her easy, down-to-earth way of sharing them. She draws on years of experience in authentic Jazz Dance, including Charleston, Blues, and Lindy Hop, and has a knack for making things feel clear and doable without ever making it heavy or serious.

Sean Moon (BBC Strictly Come Dancing)

Sean Moon is widely recognised as Jenny’s choreography partner on Strictly, and he brings the same musical feel and calm, supportive approach to the dance floor. He is especially known for his focus on connection, timing, and helping dancers really settle into the music rather than rushing through steps.

Together, Jenny and Sean create a relaxed, friendly space where you can try things out without pressure. You will pick up practical ideas you can use straight away in social dancing, build confidence in how you move with the music, and, most importantly, enjoy yourself while you are doing it.

Bic & Simone

Bic and Simone met on a dance floor and have been dancing together ever since. They've been all over — New York, China, Sweden, Bali — and picked up competition wins in the UK and France.

They run classes and events on the South Coast and they're well known for being strong on technique. Their own dancing is fluid and musical — it's all about the connection and the music with these two.

Their classes are good fun and you'll come away with better technique and more confidence on the floor.

Andy and Ellie

Renowned Lindy Hop teacher and swing dance advocate Andy Fleming brings over 25 years of expertise to our dance weekend. A cornerstone of the UK’s vibrant swing scene, Andy co-founded Swing Dance Taunton and has taught at major international events like France’s Lindy Hop Ski Week and Bristol’s New Year Swing Celebration. Known for his ability to demystify complex moves while fostering musicality, he creates inclusive spaces for beginners and seasoned dancers alike.

With only a few years of Lindy experience, Ellie has reached a remarkable level of social dance, performance and teaching. Her technique and enthusiasm shines through in every dance she has, her performance draws your attention to her as she shines in Jenny’s troupe “The Jazzettes”, and her understanding of every move helps her deliver clear and inspiring workshops.

Nikki Santilli

Nikki’s been dancing Lindy Hop, Balboa and Authentic Jazz since 2003 and has taught and performed all over. She specialises in Balboa and Solo Jazz.

She’s really precise in the way she teaches — good at breaking things down so you can feel what’s going on with the rhythm and the connection. No fuss, just clear, solid teaching.

Mel & Jo Calanglang

Mel and Jo have been teaching Balboa and swing for over a decade and have taught at festivals all over the world, from All Balboa Weekend in Cleveland to the London Balboa Festival.

They’re technical but they don’t overcomplicate things. Their classes focus on connection, rhythm and dancing to live music, and they’re good at breaking it all down into bits you can actually use.

They’re a friendly pair and they make the whole thing feel easy, even when the material gets detailed.

Live Music

Marvin Muoneke and His Band

On Sunday night you get live swing music from Marvin Muoneke and his band. He’s been on The Voice and made it to the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent — the man can sing.

It’s a brilliant way to end the weekend — proper live music and a packed dance floor.
