We take over the Derwent Hotel, and so we get exclusive use of everything in it. This includes the superb main ballroom, the atmospheric second dance venue, 3 separate bars, the spacious dining room, and the very sociable reception area. The Derwent Hotel has amazing staff, provides fantastic food, and all residents get access to all facilities in the entire hotel complex.
Hotel leisure facilities include:
Aztec Spa
Perfect for a spot of holiday pampering. Facial & body therapies by spa specialists Elemis, St Tropez Airport Spray Tan, Manicures & pedicures.
Arena games
2000 square feet of wall-to-wall fun and games.
Aztec Gym
with 32 workstations, provides the perfect environment for shaping up and working out.
Swimming Pools
25 metre laned pool + free form fun pool along side, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Also a lovely outdoor pool surrounded by sun loungers (not so popular at our January Rock Bottoms).
A friendly, informal restaurant makes for a fun and lively atmosphere at breakfast and dinner. Buffet style breakfast – continental or full English, you’ll be greeted with tea or coffee as you stagger in any time up to 9:45am. You can then help yourself to as much hot and cold breakfast as you wish.At dinner you’ll get full waiter service bringing you a fine choice of starters, main courses and desserts. In addition there’s a salad bar and hot buffet. Cheese and biscuits and coffee available to round off that perfect meal. On arrival day, you must be seated by 8:30pm to be sure of being served. Cold buffet available until 9:30pm.
The only meal not included in your package is your lunch. Fortunately there is a very classy bistro which tends to be buzzing with Rock Bottomers throughout the entire afternoon.
The Aztec Bistro, overlooking the Aztec Falls indoor pool, is open daily from 10.30am-11.00pm. The Bistro offers an extensive range of drinks, including teas, coffees, smoothies, frappes, soft drinks and a full range of wines, beer and spirits. There's a tempting menu where you can choose from deli sandwiches, toasties and paninis, or jacket potatoes, Bistro salads and pasta dishes, plus a selection of daily specials. The Bistro extends outside onto a patio area to make the most of those sunny afternoons. (10% discount for all at Rock Bottoms).
The Derwent Hotel has a luxurious ballroom, grand enough to be the central entertainments venue for the entire hotel complex. Luckily we get exclusive usage of this ballroom for the entire weekend. Workshops run here from 10am through to 6pm each day, and freestyles take place here from 8:30pm until the early hours.
Throughout each day, we also run a full program of workshops in a second ballroom in one of the adjoining hotels. This second ballroom will be directly accessible from the Derwent Hotel.
For the evenings, in addition to the main ballroom, we also run a second freestyle in an atmospheric underground dance venue known to us as "The Secret Disco". This isn’t a secret and it isn’t a disco! Here we offer you an alternative style of music to that going on in the main venue that relates to some of the day's workshops plus late night blues.
All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, TV & radio, Tea / coffee making facilities, Direct dial telephone, and plenty of space needed for all that dance clobber.
If you require loads of space, and you’d appreciate one or two little extras in your room, then you may choose to pay a small supplement for a “Superior Room”.
Another way to get more space for yourselves is to have 3 of you share an extremely large family room – no supplement required here.
There are a small number of single rooms which sell very quickly. Unfortunately we are unable to offer single occupancy of doubles or twins, so please book early if you need a room to yourself. |
