WHAT IS IT?
If you enjoy your visit(s) to Rock Bottoms we'd like to think you would encourage friends / fellow dancers to come along and see for themselves what a great event it is.
If through your recommendation others do make a booking, then as a ‘Thank you’ to you for your support and to them for taking the plunge, we give you both a discount.
We call this whole process RAF for short, (and No, it has nothing to do with the armed forces).
IS IT SIMPLE TO CLAIM THE DISCOUNTS?
Yes if you follow the rules.
WHY DO THERE HAVE TO BE RULES?
Without precise rules, an offer like this is either open to abuse, or can become an administrative nightmare.
HOW DO I CLAIM DISCOUNT(S)?
The person who received the recommendation (Receiver) goes on line to book a Rock Bottoms weekend. The very first thing they see on the booking form says ‘A Friend Recommended Me’. Details of the person who gave them the recommendation (The Giver) must be entered here - full name and email address.
* If full details of The Giver are not entered here, then this is not a RAF booking and no RAF discounts will be applied at time of booking or at any future date
* Please do not chase a discount at a later date - this only causes us administrative headaches and you won't get your discount anyway
* Please note there are no sexual connotations meant in the use of Givers and Receivers
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
So the above step is completed successfully.
The Giver will get an automated email thanking them for the recommendation and letting them know they are due for a RAF discount.
The Booking form is then read by our admin who confirms The Receiver is new and they discount the Receiver's place AND discount the Giver's next Rock Bottoms booking.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DONT KNOW THE GIVER'S FULL NAME OR EMAIL
Then we have a problem as without a name we can't reward the Giver and without an email we can't contact the Giver. So please find out this information first before making the booking, and make it a pleasure for us to reward you both. Basically, NO DETAILS, NO DISCOUNTS.
CAN A GIVER CLAIM ON SOMEBODY WHO HAS ALREADY BOOKED?
HELL NO. Have you not read the notes above?
CAN I (AS A GIVER) MAKE A BOOKING FOR MY RECEIVER AND CLAIM RAF DISCOUNTS?
We would rather the Receiver booked themselves as this helps our admin, but if this is easier for you then we can accept this.
Just complete the form as normal and in at the additional info mention the Receiver(s) and say you are claiming RAF discounts for each. If you have supplied us with their full names and emails then we can verify they are new to us and apply the discounts. As you can see - without this information there will be NO RAF DISCOUNTS.
DO I GET MONEY OFF FOR EACH PERSON IN A COUPLE?
Yes you do. If a new couple makes a RAF booking correctly as above, or if you make a booking for a RAF couple correctly as above then they each receive discounts and you receive discounts for each.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A RECEIVER BOOKS AFTER THE GIVER HAS PAID UP FOR THE NEXT EVENT IN FULL?
We would prefer that the discount be applied to the Giver's next booking to avoid refunds having to be processed. But if you insist on a refund then we will process this immediately after the event.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE NEW PERSON PAYS IN FULL WITHOUT TAKING THE £20 OFF?
Same as above - we much prefer to discount their next event, but if you insist we will make a refund immediately after the event.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A RECEIVER CANCELS AND DOESNT PAY IN FULL?
The giver has their discount taken back and this must be paid before the event.
IS IT WORTH EMAILING ADMIN TO CHASE CASH DISCOUNTS?
NO - as stated above, overpayments can only be sorted out after the event, and will be returned by bank transfer once we have your bank details.
HOW CAN ROCK BOTTOMS AFFORD THIS RAF OFFER?
We love new people to join the Rock Bottoms fold, and when new people are friends of our fans there is a high chance they'll love it too. So this RAF promotion means we lose our profit on the first visit of each new person, but we see it as a worthwhile investment in the future of Rock Bottoms.
CAN ANYONE BACKTRACK?
NO. Once a booking is made a booking is made. Hopefully you've realised by now, RAF discounts are costing us a fair amount of money. If they start costing us large amounts of admin time, and even arguments, then it is not worth us doing it. Please follow the rules!
IF I HAVE A RAF 'PENDING' CAN I SPEND IT ON ANYTHING ELSE?
Yes you can. We have DVDs T shirts etc at the Rock bottoms shop (during the weekenders). We would prefer that you spent the whole discount in one hit (less admin) but we suppose we could reduce your pending discount by the value of the merchandise.
No you can't spend it on a massage - we collect the massage money but it is not ours - it goes directly to the masseurs. |
