This isn’t absolute beginner level - it is the best level and everyone should do it lots. It’s all about what happens between beginner and amazing. It’s the good stuff, the real tango stuff. Here you learn all the major step groups - really learn them. Maybe you did them on the dance floor, but do you really know them?
Really, this should be called level 4 because you already did level 1 at least 3 times, and you are now feeling like you are ready to move on. These classes will stretch you and help you to master more complex movements, steps and ideas and be a better dancer. Alternatively this level could leave you feeling a bit rubbish if you haven’t actually mastered following or leading with good techniques from the earlier level.
Level 3 Tango dancers have normally worked out that the basics are the most important thing by now and why some dancers can make sparks come off a rocking step. These classes will only benefit you if you are really ready for them and you have a solid foundation to build on. If you have great technique, balance, musicality and connection they will help. If not, you’ll just learn some things that won’t end up looking or feeling very good.
I’m pretty damned good and I challenge you to improve my dancing :)
